Excellent Crabcakes!!!!! I had the Cajun Trio special (catfish, jambalaya and crawfish etouffee ) All 3 were delicious. We will definitely be back soon. Dining area is a little dark but the staff are very friendly and helpful with suggestions.

A little disappointing on the half pound king crab legs. Looked more like an appetizer than a meal. $15+ The legs were cut on the side of them that made for easy access to the meat. A side of dirty rice tasted spicy but thats how I like it. Also came with some beans and cauliflower and a bowl of what was suppose to be butter. Not sure what it was but it had a hint of butter flavor to dip the crab meat into. Atmosphere was nice. Candles on the table and live music from the 70's being played by a one man band. If the waitress wasnt on the ball so much I would have rated this a 3 for taste / quantity / price and service.

Had the seafood fondue and blackened mahi yvette. I eat out a lot, but that was one of the best dinners I have had in a long time

For the past two years i have enjoyed this place every time i make the 90min drive. My journey to/from chicago or anywhere in the area always include this dimly lit restaurant. I dont eat much fried food but i do here. Next time the kids stay at moms house on Saturday, im rolling to see the band.

The hostess seemed like we might have interrupted her, but the waitress was super nice, knew the menu and had some great recommendations. We started with the buffalo chicken appetizer, which neither of us cared for. It seemed slimy and the texture was off. The flavor was pretty much hot vinegar. Main courses were a different story... We had jambalaya, which was spicy, but not overly, with lots of flavor, and we also had the blackened mahi Yvette. The mahi was cooked well and the blackening spice was just right. The sauce was a perfect match to the dirty rice. We went out on a limb and had the creme brûlée and turtle cheesecake, both of which are made in house and tasted great. All in all, nothing to complain about... We'll come back for sure.

We tried several menu items. Alligator tail bites for appetizer. My husband had crawfish bisque and the combo with catfish, oysters and crawfish. I had the crawfish ettouffee. Everything was excellent! It was nice to have live music and we would go back in a heartbeat! Definitely a good find!

Don't judge a book by the cover. Yes the place looks like a dump on the outside but it's really nice inside. I went with 2 other coworkers for dinner. We had the calamari and alligator appetizers - both were outstanding! I then ordered a cup of seafood gumbo and blackened grouper - both were the best I have ever had. I lived in the south and in Louisiana and this is the best Cajun food I've had. Keep up the excellent work!

Authentic Cajun cooking in Michigan! As good as it gets this far north of Louisiana. The gumbo is the best. Great red beans and rice. Crawfish etouffee excellent. Yvonne's blackened catfish perfectly spiced. Don't be put off by the location in an old motel in the shadow of a shiny new casino (Firekeepers). From the outside it looks unappealing but wait till you taste the food.

How could you not like this place. Great atmosphere, Great service, and good lunch prices. This is right down the street from the casino as well. My wife and I ate a ton of food and enjoyed everything.

We've been back here twice this summer, and the food is still consistently great! The clam chowder has lots of clams and bacon. My husband is picky about his chowder, and he loves it. I usually get the blackened catfish with Yvette sauce for lunch, which is wonderful, but today by mistake they gave me blackened catfish with Lafayette sauce, and I think I liked it better! Two of us had the fish of the day - grouper - hard to find around here. The crab cakes were also outstanding. A real treat was the alligator tailmeat appetizer: a wonderful, light batter, and the most tender alligator we've ever had! Try it with sides of house-made Ranch dressing and tarter sauce. We shared Bananas Foster for dessert, to die for. We continue to love this place, have never had a bad meal, and the service is always pleasant.

We had Alaskan king crab -1 pound. Really good! I had the crawfish combo (deep fried tails and étouffée ). Had red beans and rice instead of the dirty rice. étouffée was the best I have had north of Shreveport . Crab was good. I had very good service from Jen. Plus, a guy playing guitar. For this area, it was great. If they made their own cocktail sauce, it would have been 5 stars.

Enjoyed a pretty tasty meal here while visiting the folks over the winter break. The space has a nice, warm homey feel, the service is good and food was tasty and priced right. Apparently they've been there for years, but this was the first time my dad ever recommended it and I'm happy he did.

I will admit to being leary of eating at restaurants attached to budget hotels, but I decided to take a chance based on a handful of yelp reviews (and very few pictures). The hotel is right off of 94 (coming from downtown Battle Creek, it's immediately to your left when you exit the interstate. Stopped in for dinner around 5:00pm on a Friday evening. Only one other table was occupied when I was seated in the dining room. The dining room was wood-paneled and dark. I was greeted quickly and my drink order was taken. I decided to order the cajun hummus for an appetizer and the jambalaya as my entree. My food came out wicked-fast. And that is my only complaint - that my entree came out only four- five minutes after the hummus arrived. The food all-around was great. The cajun hummus was welcome addition to a menu heavy with fried food. They fried up long chips to dip in the hummus. And I really enjoyed the jambalaya. The portion size was enough that I was able to bring home approx. half for second dinner. Service was great. I would highly recommend it and I will stop by the next time I'm in town.

The atmosphere and food is one of a kind at Pasche's. You can't get this kind of food anywhere else in Battle Creek. The location is very convenient, right off I-94 near Firekeeper's Casino. The waitress recommneded the Blackened Catfish Lafayette and I was not a bit disappointed. It came with dirty rice that tastes like it is straight out of the bayou and fresh vegetables that actually were not frozen and microwaved. It is hard to get this kind of delightful cuisine in the Battle Creek area and I highly recommend it for anyone passing through or for residents.

What angered me the most was that I was only served five mozzarella sticks as an appetizer! I'm an adult, I need more than that! There weren't seconds for these sticks either. I would have to reorder and pay for them. Please amp up the number of mozzarella sticks to 10 please! I had to share with my fiancé and we have large appetites. Five sticks just don't cut it! Yet their meal portions were too big for my liking.

Decided to check it out since there was a Groupon. Next time I will stay away from the fried stuff, the shrimp were soggy and all the breaded items seemed very salty. The fried catfish though was the highlight! Nice crispy light cornmeal crusted catfish and it was moist and tender.

Funny how yelp has diverted my true and honest review, and other negative reviews, to an area where it is not easy to read. I thought this was a site for feedback and not to fluff a business that does not do good business. For those who do not know, please refer to the bottom of the website to the area it says the not recommended 10 reviews to see the not so good reviews so you can make an educated decision on whether or not to spend your money at this restaurant. The only good news is that Groupon did agree with me on the obnoxious wording that the restaurant puts on groupon and refunded me my full amount. Good luck!

I LOVE this place! It's right off I-94, and really close to the Firekeepers Casino. Great cajun style food, as well as many other selections for less-spicy options. It's tucked away behind a liquor store, and attached to a small hotel- but don't let the unassuming facade deter you. The inside is clean and decorated in festive mardi-gras colors. The service is fast and friendly, and both times I've been here, I liked everything I tried (shared multiple dishes with four people the first time). The seafood is fresh, and the recipes taste homemade. Top pics for me are the crab cakes, catfish ettoufee, skillet cornbread, catfish, and the dirty rice. They have a decent beer and wine list, although I'd like to see a few more microbrews on there. (the first time I visited, they carried Crooked Tree IPA in bottles from Dark Horse- win!) The venue is separated into two halves, the front where you come in is the main restaurant, and past that is the bar area. The bar has at least one television, and I think sometimes even live entertainment (solo guy on a guitar, not a full band or anything) Sadly this place is a little far from where I live, so I can't make it a monthy event!

This place is the best. Located just east of Battle Creek right off of I-94 next to the Firekeepers casino. I am not much of a seafood eater, so I always get the steaks. I had the 8 oz New York strip for lunch and it was grilled to perfection. It came with mashed potatos, and I added a garden salad. We tried the cajun hummus on the daily specials, and it was great. This place is a hidden gem that must not be overlooked. If you are in Battle Creek or Marshall, this is a great place for casual dining.

The fried pickles are absolutely the best thing ever. I've never had better. Having said that, just about everything that's not fried kinda stinks. Pasche's is attached to a hotel. I was staying at the hotel for a scrapbooking weekend and had the opportunity to eat at Pasche's 3 times in the last 2 days. The service was consistently bad. My soup was too spicy to eat. My steak was extremely overcooked. Everything was expensive. Two member of my party spend over $20 for a crab-leg entree that didn't come with a salad or bread. As far as I could tell, there weren't any vegetables on the menu except for the pickles. I recommend you spend the extra 10 minutes to drive into Battle Creek for something to eat.
